Current Context: Andhra Pradesh Government has launched Jagananna Chedodu Scheme to provide financial assistance to tailors, barbers and washermen who have suffered a loss due to coronavirus.
- The scheme will provide onetime financial assistance of Rs 10,000 each to the tailors, barbers and washermen who were under 60 years of age and has suffered a loss due to coronavirus.
- The scheme will prove beneficial to about 2.47 lakh beneficiaries.
- Also, the state government has decided to provide school kits and school uniform to the students.
