Current Context: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has signed MoU Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
- The two entities has signed MoU to carry out the bilateral data exchange between them.
- The bilateral data exchange between them will take place on an automatic and regular basis.
- Also, both the organisation will exchange data on request and on spontaneous basis from their respective databases.
- To have a tracking record of this data exchange process, a Data Exchange Steering Group will be appointed to manage the process and thus will improve data sharing mechanism.
