- This will help Bangladesh to enhance its railway mode of transport in the country.
- The 10 broad-gauge railway locus was flagged off from the Gede station of the Easter railway in West Bengal’s Naida district and will reach at Darshana on the other side.
- The locomotives were flagged off by external affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar and railway minister Piyush Goyal.
- Thus India is on the verge to offer inter-country and intra-country mobility solution to Bangladesh.
- The locomotives can attain a speed of 120 kmph and are having a life span of 28 years.
