Current Context: Union Cabinet has approved the MoU of India with Zimbabwe in the field of cooperating in Traditional Systems of Medicines and Homeopathy.
- This MoU will prove beneficial to both the countries in the sector of traditional medicines.
- Under this MoU, the supply of medicines and mandatory documents for demonstration and study to traditional medicines will take place between two countries
- A regulatory mechanism for teaching, practice , drugs and drugless therapies will take place
- Appointments, accommodation of scientist, pharma experts, teaching professionals will take place between the two countries to achieve the objective and cooperation in traditional systems of medicines and homeopathy
- Under this MoU, the countries will mutually recognize systems of medicines, Pharmacopoeias and Formularies
