Current Context: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh e-inaugurated 6 bridges in Jammu and Kashmir.

  • The bridges are built to provide connectivity in sensitive border areas which are close to International Border and Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • The bridges are developed under the Project Sampark by Border Road Organisation.
  • The name of 6 bridges are: Tarnah-I Bridge (160m), Tarnah-II Bridge (300m), Palwan Bridge (91m), Ghodawala Bridge (151m), Pahadiwala Bridge (16m) and Panyali Bridge (31m).
