Current Context: The United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) India has partnered with SAP India which is a software company to provide career counselling to the youths of India.

  • The initiative was launched on account of World Youth Skills Day.
  • Both the entities have decided to offer career counselling to the young minds of India so that they will improve their skillsets and attain jobs.
  • In order to provide digital education, industrial and managerial skills to the young people, UNICEF has partnered with YuWaah, which is UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited initiative.
  • The partnership will make youth compatible to participate and be part of modern technology and invent new services with the help of technology.
  • The associated entities will improve digital and life skills, provide career options, reimagine the models in states of India in partnership with GOI and impact one million people by 2022.
