Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under NEP

Current Context: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the inaugural ceremony of Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under NEP (National Education Policy).

• The conclave organized by the Ministry of Education and UGC (University Grants Commission).
• The conclave organized to discuss the aspects and future which will be achieved due to the National Education Policy 2020, which was approved by the cabinet on 29th July 2020. The NEP 2020 was drafted by K Kasturirangan, who is an Indian space scientist.
• The associated members in the conclave discussed the significant aspects like holistic, multidisciplinary, quality research, future-oriented education, usage of technology in education and many more in the NEP 2020.
• PM Modi stated that upon successful implementation of NEP 2020 will create major positive reforms in the education sector.
• National Research Foundation will closely work in co-ordination with the National educational Technology Forum (NETF).
