• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred Rs 17,000 crores into the bank accounts of 8.5 crores Indian Farmers. This financial support is provided under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Also, PM has launched a financial facility of Rs.1 Lakh crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund for agri-startups, entrepreneurs, farmer groups, agri-tech players for the post-harvest management and nurturing farm assets.
• Meghalaya cabinet has approved a policy which will provide reservation of seats for women in Village Employment Councils (VECs).
