Current Context: The National Health Authority has released the Draft Health Data Management Policy.

• The policy is released under the National Digital Health Mission.
• The objective for Draft Health Data Management Policy is to offer guidance and set framework for secure processing of personnel, confidential and sensitive data of individual who are part of the ecosystem of national digital health.
• The draft proposes to secure electronic health records, electronic medical records by adopting technical measures and thus to increase data privacy.
• Along with this, the draft proposes to establish institutional mechanism body which will conduct audits of the National Digital Health Ecosystem.
