Current Context: National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has entered into MoU with CSC (Common Service Center) E-Governance Services India Ltd.
NeGD signs MoU with CSC E-Governance Services India Ltd
  • The MoU is signed to offer UMANG services to citizens.
  • The UMANG services will be offered via a network of 3.75 lakh CSCs.
  • By using the UMANG app, the citizens will get the benefit of e-governance services of 140 departments. These services to the citizens will be facilitated by CSC operators Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE).
  • This partnership will prove beneficial as it will help those citizens who are not having access to smartphones or are unable to handle e-services based apps. 
  • The citizens will be able to avail the services like Employees Provident Fund Organisations services, getting PAN account and can register themselves in Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
  • UMANG app stands for Unified Mobile Application for New age Governance. The app is a single platform which grants access to e-governance services.
