Current Context: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organized ‘India@75 Summit-Mission 2022’.
- Union Minister of MSME and Road Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari addressed the India@75 Summit-Mission 2022’.
- The mission focused on ‘Reinventing Technology in India’.
- Nitin Gadkari addressed that the Indian industries and MSMEs in India should be made self-reliant and they should be made import substitutes, cost-effective, pollution-free and indigenous.
- The MSMEs has been expanded with an investment value up to Rs 50 crores and turnover up to Rs 250 crores.
- By adopting the technology up-gradation, export avenues in MSME sector can also be increased. Indian Manufacturers will be supported by increasing import duty in a few sectors.
- Also for road transport in India, CII has drafted a proposal for the insurance of roads which will eradicate the requirements of bank guarantee.
