Current Context: Uttar Pradesh Government has signed an agreement with Israel.
- The agreement is signed to solve the water crisis and to have proper water management in the Bundelkhand region.
- Hence the UP government has signed this agreement under ‘plan of cooperation’ with Israel’s water resource minister.
- The agreement will help to mitigate and resolve water crisis issues and will support irrigation for agriculture.
- The agreement will offer agricultural facilities, drip irrigation, groundwater management and potable water management.
- They will focus on three components: water conservation, water-efficient transportation and advanced water practices for agriculture.
