Cabinet approves MoU between India and Japan

  • This approval is for the Cooperation in the Textile Sector. 
  • The union cabinet was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
  • The approval is given to sign the MoU between textiles committee, India and Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre, Japan.
  • This MoU will help to improve the quality and testing of Indian textiles and clothing for the Japan market.
  • The MoU will also help to attain the benefit of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between India and Japan which was signed earlier.
  • The MoU will also boost Indian exports to meet the requirement of Japanese importers by following rules and regulation of Japan’s government.
