Current Context: The G20 foreign Ministers Meet was hosted by Saudi Arabia and was chaired by Minister of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud.

- In the meet, India proposed ‘G20 Principals on Coordinated Cross-Border Movement of People.
- The proposed principle is based on: (a) Standardisation of quarantine procedures (b) Standardisation of testing procedures and to have universal acceptability of test results (c) Standardisation of movement and transition protocols and rules.
- Also in the meet, all the external affairs ministers of every country discussed about the protection of foreign students who are stuck in the countries and also about the facilitation of movement of stranded seafarers back to their homes.
- They also discussed enhancing international cooperation during this pandemic state of COVID-19.
