  • The discovered farthest star galaxies in the universe are the extreme UV light which is detected with the help of India’s first multi-wavelength satellite ‘Astrosat’.
  • The galaxy is called AUDFs01.
  • This star galaxy is seemed to located 9.3 billion light-years away from the Earth.
  • This discovery by Indian astronomers is also reported in ‘Nature Astronomy’ an International Journal of Britain.
  • The team of astronomers is headed by Dr Kanak Saha, Inter-University entre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune.
