Current Context: The National Tribal Research Conclave was organized by Centre of Excellence for tribal affairs, ministry of tribal affairs and Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
- Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda addressed the inaugural session of two day National Tribal Research Conclave.
- The conclave was organized to analyse the ongoing work adopted by the ministry of tribal affairs. They also reviewed the results obtained by various projects in regards to the welfare of the tribal community.
- The future targets and the road map of National Tribal Research Institute (NTRI) which is to be launched in partnership with IIPA was also discussed in the conclave.
- The minister addressed to make use of advance technology for the welfare of the tribal community and assured that ministry of tribal affairs is working in quality research programs in partnership with various reputed NGOs which will provide benefit to tribes.
- He also mentioned that ministry of tribal affairs is providing funds to 26 tribal research institutes in order to carry out research activities.
