- Distinguished scientist, organisations who excelled their work in providing reliable and sustainable solar energy were awarded ISA Solar Award 2020.
- The awards were conferred in three categories: (a) Visvesvaraya Award- This award was given to recognize the countries with a maximum floating solar capacity in every 4 regions of ISA. (b) Kalpana Chawla Awards- This award was given to mark the outstanding contribution of scientist and engineers associated with solar energy sector. (c) Diwakar Award- This award was given recognize institutions and organisations who are working for the benefit of differently-abled people and have increased the use of solar energy in the host country.
