Asia Power Index 2020

Current Context: Sydney based Lowy Institute has released Asia Power Index 2020. 

• As per the index rankings, India has been ranked at 4th spot with a score of 39.7 out of 100. 
• The index shows the ranking for 26 countries and territories on the basis of an analytical tool which ranks the countries based on what resources they have and the way they utilise their resources for the upliftment of their respective country in each sector.
• The index is topped by United States with a score of 81.6.
• The second and third position is marked by China (76.1 score) and Japan (41 score) respectively.
