Current Context: Indian Army has launched software named as ‘Infrastructure Management System’ (IMS) and secured messaging application platform called ‘Secure Application for the Internet’ (SAI).
Indian Army launched IMS Software and SAI messaging application
  • ‘Infrastructure Management System’ (IMS): It is launched for the purpose of automation for functions related to infrastructure development, management for the availability of land, planning and for the purpose of monitoring working activities. The software was inaugurated by Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane at the Army Commanders Conference.
  • The IMS Software will help to automate work initiation, it will help to accord administrative approvals, manage cantonment roads, making of online availability of land works and quartering policies etc.
  • ‘Secure Application for the Internet’ (SAI): It is launched to serve the motto of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Mission’. It is developed by Colonel Shankar of the Indian Army. The app will ensure secure communication among the Indian Army personnel. It will allow end-to-end secure voice, text and video calling services.
