Current Context: ‘Life in Miniature’ Project is launched by Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge).
‘Life in Miniature’ Project
  • The project is launched by the National Museum, New Delhi, Ministry of Culture and Google Arts and Culture.
  • Under this project, hundreds of miniature paintings from the National Museum will be displayed and viewed on Google Arts and Culture app.
  • People across the world can experience the first augmented reality-powered art gallery designed with traditional Indian architecture with the help of Google Arts and Culture app. 
  • The miniature work will be captured with the help of technologies like machine learning, augmented reality and digitization with the help of HD specific cameras. 
  • The app also possesses the feature of ‘Magnify Miniatures’ which will allow the users to magnify artwork and paintings. 
  • The artwork will be showcased based on five universal themes namely, Human relationship with nature, love, celebration, faith and power.
  • The showcased art and painting collection include Ramayana, Royal Saga and Pahari style paintings.
