Current Context: NITI Aayog in partnership with Quality Council of India (QCI) has launched the ‘National Program and Project Management Policy Framework (NPMPF)’.
National Program and Project Management Policy Framework
  • The NPMPF is launched to transform the infrastructure sector of India.
  • The NPMPF was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Amitabh Kant and Adil Zainulbhai. 
  • Along with this, ‘Indian Infrastructure Body of Knowledge (InBoK)’ which is a book on NPMPF. The book is unveiled to serve as a reference medium for all practitioners of infra sector industry. 
  • The major action plans for NPMPF are: (1) Adoption of program and project management strategies to develop infra sector (2)institutionalize and promote profession of program and project management (3) Build skilled workforce for this profession (4) Enhancing institutional capacity and capabilities in professionals.
