Current Context: NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog and Embassy of Netherland, New Delhi has signed Statement of Intent (SoI). 
NITI Aayog and Embassy of Netherland signs SoI
  • The SoI is signed to support Decarbonization and Energy Transition Agenda for utilising and accommodating cleaner and more energy. 
  • The SoI will build a strategic partnership which will create comprehensive collaboration among stakeholders, industrial bodies, policymakers, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and private sectors. 
  • This strategic partnership will lead to development of innovative technologies by leveraging skills and expertise among all these entities.
  • Both NITI Aayog and Embassy of Netherland will work collaberately for: (1) lowering net carbon footprint in sectors like transports and industry (2) release target potential of natural gas and promote bio-energy technologies (3) develop and adopt clean air technologies (4) financial frameworks to deliver and adopt climate change finance.
