- Ayush Grid is the emerging IT backbone for the AYUSH sector.
- This integration is made to avail of health benefits to the public.
- This integration of Ayush Grid with NDHM will also accelerate mainstreaming the AYUSH discipline of healthcare.
- To integrate this, initially the Secretary of AYUSH ministry conducted a review to analyse current status of IT initiatives undertaken under Ayush Grid projects.
- And after the review, Secretary observed that in the last two years Ayush Grid has performed successfully to bridge the digital gap in Ayush sector.
- He also observed that Ayush Grid has successfully implemented various critical healthcare IT projects.
- The integration will lead to digitization of AYUSH sector which will transform its fields like healthcare delivery at all levels including research, education, various health programmes and regulation of drugs.
- It will also help in achieving national and global healthcare goals.
