Tribal Entrepreneurship Development Programme

Current Context: The Tribal Entrepreneurship Development Programme was launched by Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda.

• The programme is the joint initiative of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India).
• The Tribal Entrepreneurship Development Programme is a three year initiative which will develop the potential of tribal community and will enhance their potential so that they can contribute to socio-economic growth. 
• To promote and to highlight this programme and to commemorate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, ASSOCHAM conducted a webinar titled as ‘Khadi: Symbol of independent Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’.
• During the launching event, Union Minister Arjun Munda addressed and motivated all the stakeholders and industry members to join this programme and help in developing abilities of tribal communities for overall social and economic growth of this community.
