Current Context: The 30th edition of India-Thailand Coordinated Patrol (Indo-Thai CORPAT) was held between the Indian Navy and Royal Thai Navy.

  • It was conducted in the Andaman sea close to the Strait of Malacca.
  • India was represented by INS Karmuk. 
  • Thailand was represented by Frigate HTMS Kraburi and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
  • Aim of CORPAT is to keep the Indian Ocean safe and secure for the purpose of commercial shipping and international trade.
