4th High-level meet of the India-OPEC Energy Dialogue

Current Context: The 4th High-level meeting of the India-OPEC Energy Dialogue was held virtually.

• The meet was co-chaired by Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan.
• Also, the meeting observed the participation by OPEC Member countries, Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and CMD & MDs of India’s oil and gas industry.
• The dignitaries discussed assessing COVID-19 induced disruptions of oil supply.
• Indian side urged to OPEC to address the anomalies that are prevalent in differential crude oil prices.
