  • The Ministry of Finance approved the allot Rs 39,097 crores under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) for the purpose of export made for FY 2019-20. Also, the ministry has approved Rs 15,555 crore under MEIS for export made during 1st April 2020 to 31st Dec 2020.

  • The first solar-powered textile mill in Asia will be set up in Parbhani, Maharashtra. it will be known as Jai Bhawani Women’s Cooperative textile mill. The costing amount for setting up this mill is Rs 100 crore.
