DRDO successfully Test Fired advanced version of Pinaka Rocket

Current Context: The Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully test-fired the advanced version of Pinaka rocket system.

It was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
This advanced version of the Pinaka rocket system has replaced Pinaka Mk-I rockets.
The Pinaka rocket system can hit the target which is 45-60 km away, while its old version Pinaka Mk-I rockets have a range of 40 km.
Basically, Pinaka is a multi-barrel rocket launcher system which can fire 12 rockets in 44 seconds.
In this test-fire operation, a total of six rockets was launched.
