International version of the UMANG Application

Current Context: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology launched the International version of the UMANG application.

• The version is launched in countries like UK, US, Australia, Canada, Netherlands, UAE, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand.
• The version is launched on the occasion of completion of three years of UMANG App. 
• UMANG signifies Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance.
• To launch this international version, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology collaborated with the Ministry of External Affairs.
• The aim behind launching an international version of UMANG App is to promote Indian culture in the rest of the world.
• Also with this app, Common Services Centres (CSCs) are also integrated. The app is integrated with MD (Indian Meteorological Department) services.
