- The aim of this scheme is to build English medium schools in the state so as to give an education facility in the English language also.
- Under this scheme, initially,52 English medium schools will be started.
- These schools will be having online learning facilities and will be comprised of computer labs, science lab and state-of-the-art library.
- Other Schemes and facilities launched in the state on the same occasion are: (a) Mukhyamantri Sahari Slum Swasthya Yojana (b) Third instalment of Rs 1500 crores was released under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. (c) 132/33 KV power substation in the district of Bijapur (d) 87.5 km long electricity line to supply 23 remote villages in the Naxal affected regions.
