Climate Change Performance Index

Current Context: The New Climate Institute, Germanwatch and CAN (Climate Action Network) has released Global Climate Change Performance Index.

• India ranked 10th in this index with a score of 63.98.
• None of the countries marked the first three positions in this index as none of the countries is on that level of Paris climate targets which aims to implement strategies to limit global warming below 2 or below 1.5 degree Celsius.
• Sweden, United Kingdom and Denmark marked the 4th, 5th and 6th rank in the Global Climate Change Performance Index.
