Current Context: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the construction work of Agra Metro Project, Uttar Pradesh.

• This project is comprised of 2 corridors having a total length of 29.4km.
• The approximate financial outlay for this project is Rs 8379.62 crore and is said to be completed within 5 years.
• This project will offer connectivity to major tourist spots like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra with the railway station and bus stands.
