Current Context: The Mastercard, ni-msme (National Institute for MSME) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has collaborated to launch Digital Saksham.
Digital Saksham—Mastercard, ni-msme and CII
  • The Digital Saksham is basically a capacity-building initiative which creates awareness about the digitization of the MSME sector in India.
  • It is the 3-year programme in which around 3 lakh and more MSMEs will be trained to become part of the digital world and adopt digital technology in their operations.
  • The programme will be having three stages over three years and will be having approaches like outreach, capacity building and adoption of digital tools. 
  • It will be rolled out in 25 cities in seven states of India.
  • The Digital Saksham will offer information, skills and tools to the MSMEs so that they can increase their financial security and expand their businesses.
