Current Context: The government of Kerala has collaborated with UN women to establish the country’s first gender data hub.
Kerala Government Partnered with UN Women
  • For this purpose, the State government has signed MoU with UN Women. 
  • The MoU was signed to observe cooperation in sectors like to setup Gender Data Centre at the Gender Park, to launch the 2nd edition of International Conference on Gender Equality and to boost engagement in global normative frameworks related to equality in gender and to empower women. 
  • The Gender Data Hub will provide a platform to initiate ambitious projects in which UN women will be offering capacity building and project development to the Gender Park for empowering women in South Asia.
  • The Gender Data Hub will be based on the moto of the international conference on Gender Equality which was held in November 2015.
