Current Context: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching SEHAT, a health insurance scheme for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on 26th Dec 2020.
SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme of J&K
  • SEHAT signifies Social Endeavour for Health and Telemedicine.
  • The scheme aims to provide free cashless treatment to the residents of J&K by providing them health cover of up to Rs 5 lakhs.
  • The beneficiaries will be provided with the health card.
  • The Common Service Centres are set up to implement SEHAT scheme and enrol the beneficiaries. 
  • The scheme will be including Indoor Patient Department cases of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
