Current Context: The 1st virtual maritime security dialogue between India and the European Union (EU) was held recently.

• India was represented by Joint Secretary Sandeep Arya and Director Joanneke Balfoort represented European Union External Action Service side.
• The dignitaries held discussions about regional cooperation activities, maritime security and developments of mutual interest.
