24th National Youth Festival (NYF)

Current Context: The 24th edition of National Youth Festival was held virtually and its closing ceremony was addressed by Union Minister of Textiles and Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani.

• At the event, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju was also present. 
• Theme for NYF 2021: Yuvaah: Utsaah Naye Bharat Ka.
• The festival was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. 
• The festival was attended by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Services Scheme (NSS). 
• The NYF 2021 was organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
• The festival was held in three phases which commenced from 20th Dec 2020.
