Current Context: India’s e-commerce platform, Flipkart has signed MoU with Logistics Skill Sector Council (LSC) to set up the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Logistics.
Flipkart Signed MoU with Logistics Skill Sector Council (LSC)
  • The LSC is set up by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) through National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDC) and Karnataka Skill Development Centre (KSDC).
  • The CoE developed under this partnership will help to build a skilled workforce for the logistics sector.
  • The first CoE will be set up at Bengaluru, Karnataka. 
  • The CoE setup by Flipkart and LSC will lead to creating all-round development of the candidates by conducting training sessions. Upon completion of the training, the candidates will be awarded certification under the National Skill Qualification Framework which is equivalent to UG degree.
  • This partnership will lead to creating employment in the logistics sector.
