Current Context: Indian Air Force and French Air and Space Force commenced the bilateral Air exercise called Ex Desert Knight-21.
Indo-French Joint Exercise Desert Knight-21
  • It is held at Air Force Station of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. 
  • Particularly, this Ex Desert Knight-21 includes fielding of Rafale aircraft from both sides.
  • This exercise is an indication of growing interaction between the two premiers Air Forces of India and France. 
  • The Indian side is represented by Mirage 2000, Rafale, Su-30 MKI, IL-78 Flight Refuelling Aircraft, AWACS and AEW&C aircraft.
  • France is represented by Rafale, A-400M Tactical Transport aircraft and AirbusA-330 Multirole tanker transport.
