Current Context: The Union Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution, Piyush Goyal inaugurated ‘Prarambh’: Startup India International Summit.
‘Prarambh’: Startup India International Summit
  • It was organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. 
  • The summit was participated by BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) member countries.
  • The summit was held to enhance the cooperation among BIMSTEC nations and to provide the platform to the startups in order to work to develop new ideas and inventions.
  • The summit focused on multilateral cooperation and provided motivation to the nations to work collaboratively to the uplift startup ecosystem.
