2nd International Conference on Gender Equality

Current Context: The 2nd edition of the International Conference of Gender Equality (ICGE-II) was held in Kerala.

• During this conference, CM of the state inaugurated the Gender Park Campus in Kozhikode, Kerala.
• The ICGE-II was hosted by Gender Park in partnership with United Nations Women.
• The theme for ICGE-II: ‘Gender in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Social Business: The Mediating Role of Empowerment’.
• Around 20 countries participated in the conference.
• The conference was held to focus on promoting women and transgender person.
• The conference motivated them to participate in socio-economic activities and become successful, sustainable entrepreneurs.
• The ICGE-II was organised as the first carbon-neutral conference event in Kerala, which highlighted Kerala’s commitment to achieving SDG by 2030.
