Current Context: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has collaborated with the National Health Authority (NHA) to provide better accessibility of medical facilities for its

beneficiaries in Maharashtra.

• They have collaborated to upgrade health infrastructure under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) in Maharashtra.
• The partnership will provide medical care to the insured beneficiaries of ESIC under ESI Act 1958.
• Thus, now a broad network of 807 PMJAY empanelled hospitals will be made available to provide medical care services to 1.77 crore beneficiaries in Maharashtra.
