Current Context:  The Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd signed MoU with IIT(Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. They will collaboratively work to perform various advanced CBM (Coal Bed Methane) technological innovations.

• The Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd will provide a list of research topics and industrial experts to IIT Dhanbad
• The advanced training to the experts will be provided by IIT Dhanbad
• The entities will collaboratively perform R&D to attain advanced exploration and development in CBM.
• They will particularly work for microbial enhanced recovery, advance reservoir simulation, CBM exploitation technology from deeper coal seams
