India and Indonesia conducted ‘PASSEX Exercise’

Current Context: Indian and Indonesian navies participated in the PASSEX Exercise (Passage Exercise).

• The exercise was held in the Arabian Sea.
• Indian Navy’s INS Talwar and Indonesian Navy’s multirole corvette KRI Bung Tomo participated in the naval exercise.
• The main aim behind PASSEX is to enhance interoperability and strengthen bilateral maritime cooperation.
