Current Context: The Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has signed a pact with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (CSC SPV).

  • The pact was signed to create demand aggregation for electric mobility, solar, energy efficiency solutions and other initiatives of CESL.
  • Under the pact, both the entities will aggregate demand and will conduct feasibility studies for projects related to renewables (decentralized solar), energy efficiency (solar micro-grids, solar-based agricultural pump-sets), e-mobility (EV charging stations, battery charging stations and battery swapping stations), Battery Energy Storage Systems, etc.
  • Through this partnership, the initiatives of CESL will reach across the country and will have new and innovative business models.
  • The partnership will also help to support India’s plan of climate action and explore green energy initiatives.
  • They will jointly implement renewables, electric mobility, and other energy efficiency solutions in the country.
