Current Context: The Indian Navy has entered into a contract with Suryadipta Projects Private Limited, which is a Thane based MSME.
Indian Navy signed Contract with Suryadipta Projects
  • The contract was signed to construct 11 Ammunition-Cum-Torpedo-Cum-Missile (ACTCM) barges.
  • Upon signing the contract, the Suryadipta Projects will deliver ACTCM barges to the Indian Navy from 22nd May 2021.
  • The barges will be developed under the classification rules of the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
  • The contract was also signed with an aim to fulfil the motto of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the Make in India initiative of GOI.
