Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Paid Visit to India

Current Context: The foreign minister of Kuwait Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah visited India by receiving an invitation from India’s external affairs minister, Dr S Jaishankar.

• During his visit, they held talks about bilateral relations of both nations and assured to enhance cooperation in energy, trade, healthcare, defence, science and technology, culture, IT, cybersecurity and education
• They released the joint statement on the establishment of a joint ministerial commission (JCM)
• The JCM will be an umbrella to engage the bilateral institutions like foreign office consultations and joint working groups.
• The commission will also review various agreements between both nations
