Current Context: The Power Grid Corporation of India has launched an e-Tendering Portal called PRANIT.

• The PRANIT portal will support fewer paperwork activities, ease of operation and will offer more transparency in the tender application process.
• The portal is certified by the Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate (STQC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
• Because of this portal, the Power Grid Corporation of India has become the only organization of the country to have an eProcurement solution on SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), which will thus enhance data security and operational transparency.
