23rd ASEAN-India Senior Officials’ Meeting

Current Context: The 23rd ASEAN-India Senior Officials’ Meeting was held.

• The meeting observed the participation of senior officials from all ten ASEAN Member States.
• India was represented by Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs Riva Ganguly Das.
• The meeting was held to discuss ASEAN-India cooperation and to review the whole spectrum of political-security, economic, socio-cultural and developmental cooperation.
• They also discussed steps to implement the ASEAN-India Plan of Action 2021-2025.
• The dignitaries discussed the measures to boost ASEAN-India Strategic Partnership and to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
