Current Context: The 3rd edition of Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021 was released.

• The ranking includes 1,240 universities from 98 countries and regions.
• As per the ranking, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is the only Indian university to achieve a top 100 in the overall ranking. It is ranked at the 81st position.
• The rank of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in various categories: 5th in quality education, 8th in gender equality, 37th in good health and well-being and 52nd in clean water and sanitation.
• The 1st rank was secured by the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
• The 2nd rank was secured by the University of Sydney, Australia.
